A waning gibbous moon is visible Wednesday morning in this photo taken from South Douglas Highway and Ez Street in Gillette. With clear skies, the moon is expected to be visible to the west during daylight hours for the next few mornings, according to Earthsky.org.

I noticed the gibbous waning moon was still visible this morning on my way to work, so I drove across town and made this photo. Not nearly as spectacular as some of the blood moon photos floating around the internet, but I’ll take it for 9 a.m. Look west tomorrow morning, as it’s supposed to be visible for a few more days as it wanes. I also learned there is an Ez Street in Gillette.
